Watchung, NJ – 12-Year-Old Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Valley RdNew Jersey Legal News
Watchung, NJ (October 9, 2019) – Authorities have been searching for a hit-and-run driver who fled the scene of a pedestrian crash after striking a 12-year-old.
The crash, according to police, took place on Valley Road in Watchung on Tuesday, October 8, around 6:55 p.m. The 12-year-old received serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The child, a boy, is expected to recover.
There were other children walking with the 12-year-old when he was struck. They were not injured in the accident.
Police believe that the vehicle that struck the child was a Hyundai that headed westbound on Valley Road.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
