South Brunswick, NJ – Theresa Dowling Killed in Crash on US-1

South Brunswick, NJ (June 23, 2020) – An 81-year-old woman died due to injuries sustained in a crash on Friday, June 19th, in South Brunswick. The accident occurred at the intersection of US-1 and Henderson Road at around 10:47 a.m. Initial reports that Theresa Dowling was driving a 2017 Lexus on Henderson Road when she failed to stop at a red light. 

Dowling’s vehicle entered the intersection where she was struck by a 2013 Hyundai driven by a Somerset woman. The impact caused the Lexus to crash into a 2016 Chevrolet. Dowling was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey and later pronounced dead on Sunday, June 21st. 

Two other drivers and two passengers were also injured. An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
