Pine Beach, NJ (November 8, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Pine Beach, New Jersey on Wednesday, November 6th. The incident happened near the intersection of US-9 and Atlantic City Bouvard at around 10:53 p.m. The man was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
According to local reports, the man was injured by a vehicle that was mistakenly put in reverse. Upon reaching a 7-Eleven convenience store located at the intersection, the man attempted to stop the vehicle from going into the road, causing him to be struck by the car. The driver of the vehicle returned to drive it off the injured party.
Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash. More information will be released as the investigation progresses.
