Parsippany, NJ – Man Killed in Fatal Truck Accident on Route 80New Jersey Legal News
Parsippany, NJ (July 11, 2019) – On Tuesday morning, a man was killed in a fatal truck accident that took place on Route 80 in Parsippany, according to police.
The accident took place when the man in the passenger vehicle struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the shoulder of the highway, which caused the vehicle and truck to burst into flames.
The New Jersey State Police have since been working to identify the party killed and notify their family. The roadway was closed down for three hours, causing heavy backups in the area.
The driver in the passenger vehicle, a Ford Fusion, was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. Nobody else had injuries in the accident.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
