Newark, NJ – Hit-and-Run Accident Involving Four Vehicles Leads to ArrestNew Jersey Legal News
Newark, NJ (March 18, 2019) – Around 7:00 p.m. last night, March 17th, police responded to a hit-and-run accident involving four vehicles that led to injuries at First Street.
The driver of a white pickup truck fled the scene of the accident and drove down a one-way street to evade police. A Good Samaritan drove after him, which caused the suspect to come to a stop about nine blocks away.
A black sedan was completely destroyed in the accident. The car lost its wheels and roof due to the impact of the accident, and a mangled door was hanging off its side when police arrived.
A family with a young child received injuries in the accident but police have not yet confirmed their conditions. However, they are all expected to recover, according to the father.
At this time, police have not confirmed what charges the suspect is facing. Police continue to investigate the accident.
