Newark, NJ (March 12, 2019) – Five children were among eight who were rushed to the hospital after a school bus accident involving a motor vehicle yesterday morning.
The accident happened around 3:45 p.m. at Seymour Avenue and West Runyon Street. A vehicle came through the area and struck an elementary school bus, which then careened into two parked cars.
The five children, bus driver, and an aide on the bus were taken to the University Hospital with a variety of injuries. Luckily, they are all expected to recover.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the bus was also hospitalized with various injuries. At this time, the investigation into the matter continues.
