Mount Olive, NJ – Multi-Vehicle Accident with Injuries on River RdNew Jersey Legal News
Mount Olive, NJ (September 21, 2019) – On Thursday afternoon at 12:42 p.m., a multi-vehicle accident took place on River Road in Mount Olive that sent one person to the hospital.
At the time, a police officer identified as Lt. Philip Lucivero was traveling north on River Road when he noticed a driver headed southbound that was driving erratically. The vehicle struck a vehicle headed in the opposite direction in front of the officer. The driver then veered back into their own lane and into the opposite lane again, striking Lucivero’s cruiser.
The driver of the erratic vehicle was extricated from their vehicle and flown via medical helicopter to the hospital with serious injuries. Lucivero was also transported to the hospital with injuries that are unknown at this time. No other parties were injured in the crash.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
