Jersey City, NJ – Man Dies Following Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Route 440

Jersey City, NJ (August 13, 2019) – Police confirmed that a 58-year-old named Darren Bradley was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident on Route 440 in Jersey City.

Authorities said that Bradley was struck in the northbound lanes of traffic by a woman from Old Bridge. Bradley was then struck by a second vehicle that was being driven by an off-duty Jersey City police officer.

Neither driver was charged for the accident, which took place around 9:20 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the Jersey City Medical Center after being taken there immediately after the accident. He was not identified until a few days later.

The accident continues to be investigated at this time.
