New Jersey Pedestrian Accidents
Pedestrians often sustain more severe injuries when involved in a collision with a large motor vehicle. The occupants of a car are protected by the frame of the vehicle, while pedestrians have nothing to protect them from the impact of a crash. This means that the resulting injuries can be severe.
New Jersey’s rate of pedestrian fatalities has hit a two-decade high. 180 pedestrians lost their lives in 2017. These victims are often hit by reckless motorists who fail to notice others on the road.
