Galloway, NJ (August 4, 2019) – On Saturday, August 3rd, around 8:32 p.m., a fatal pedestrian accident took place on the White Horse Pike in Galloway.
Police have since identified the pedestrian who lost her life as 68-year-old Mariya Grechko, of Williamstown. At the time, Grechko was attempting to cross the roadway in the eastbound lanes.
A vehicle headed westbound struck her. According to paramedics, Grechko was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver has since been identified as a 50-year-old man from Galloway.
The roadway was closed for over two hours and the investigation into the accident continues at this time.
