Elizabeth, NJ – Man Struck and Killed in Train Accident Near StationNew Jersey Legal News
Elizabeth, NJ (August 10, 2019) – On Friday, August 9th, around 7:30 p.m., police were called to the scene of a train accident in Elizabeth.
The man involved was struck by a train near the area of the North Elizabeth station but police have not said exactly where on the tracks the accident took place.
The victim had been in an area of the tracks in an area where he was not supposed to be at the time. At the time, the train that struck him was on its way to the Jersey Avenue station.
None of the passengers on the train were injured. EMS was called to the scene of the crash but the pedestrian was already pronounced deceased.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
