Cape May, NJ – Update: Woman Involved in Bicycle Accident on Broadway IdentifiedNew Jersey Legal News
Cape May, NJ (May 20, 2019) – The Cape May Police Department responded to the scene of a bicycle accident that took place at the intersection of Broadway and Yorke Avenue. The accident involved a New Jersey Transit bus and a cyclist, and a woman was killed in the crash.
The cyclist was identified as Efterpi Hines, of Cranbury, who was pronounced dead after being taken to the Cape Regional Medical Center following the accident. The biker was struck while traveling through the intersection.
The driver and two passengers were onboard the bus at the time of the crash and remained at the scene.
At this time, it has been confirmed that an investigation is taking place through the Cape May Police Department and Prosecutor’s Office.
Our sincerest condolences are extended to the family and friends of Efterpi Hines, whose life was taken prematurely in this serious accident.
