Bayonne, NJ – Naval Worker Killed in Fall at Bayonne Dry Dock

Bayonne, NJ (April 20, 2020) – A naval worker in Bayonne died following an industrial accident on Sunday, April 19th. The accident occurred at around 9:30 a.m. at the Bayonne Dry Dock. The 25-year-old male worker fell 35-feet into a naval manhole. 

Officials from the Bayonne Fire Department responded to the scene to aid the injured victim. The man was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim hasn’t yet been identified. 

An investigation into the cause of the incident is being handled by the Port Authority Police.
